Conflict metals mainly refer to metals from mining areas in conflict areas controlled by non-governmental military groups or illegal military factions in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Breaking minerals refer to gold (Au), tatalum (Ta), tungsten (W) and tin (Sn). Because these military division groups have created serious human rights and environmental problems in the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo, conflict metals have become the main source of financial resources for these military groups.
